2025 $2 Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Commemorative Circulation Coin
At the centre of this Coin Exchange is a deeply meaningful piece of Canadian history. The 2025 $2 Tomb of the Unknown Soldier coin commemorates 25 years since the repatriation of Canada’s Unknown Soldier and the completion of the Tomb at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.
This coin carries enormous symbolic weight. The coin’s design, created by Mary Ann Liu, reflects a profound sense of remembrance. This event will take place in our newly upgraded space at Carlingwood Shopping Centre. After many great years at Westgate Shopping Centre, Canada Gold Ottawa West has transitioned to a larger, more accessible location with additional buying and selling stations, improved retail space, and the same trusted team our customers know well. The Carlingwood location offers a more open layout and a more comfortable experience for both new and returning customers.
What to Expect at the Event
Our recent Hamilton Coin Exchange drew a strong community turnout and featured educational displays, rare pieces from Canadian Coin and Currency and 100 Ways, and our first colouring contest, which received outstanding entries from local families.
For Ottawa, visitors can look forward to a similar atmosphere filled with learning opportunities, interactive displays, and a curated selection of premium collectibles, including limited edition coins and unique vintage jewellery from our sister companies.
